After being ordered back to jail for violating the terms of his licence, the guy who flung acid over television host Katie Piper is now being sought by police.
Stefan Sylvestre, a resident of Shepherd’s Bush in west London, was handed a life sentence for the assault in 2009 and was informed that he would need to serve at least six years in prison before being eligible for parole.
He was freed in 2018, at the age of 30, which Ms. Piper has described as a “very terrible” period for her.
“We are urgently working with the police to send the offender back to jail where he’ll face longer behind bars,” a Probation Service spokesman said on Sunday.
Sylvestre was sent back to jail for violating the terms of his licence.
In the acid assault, Ms. Piper sustained terrible wounds that left her disfigured for life.
After obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch set up Sylvestre to throw the toxic liquid in March 2008, she was left battling for her life.
Lynch was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 16 years for attacking Piper sexually and ordering Sylvestre to squirt acid on her.
Judge Nicholas Browne QC informed Lynch and Sylvestre in court that they were “the face of absolute wickedness.”
