If you’ve never heard of scorigami, it’s very straightforward: It occurs when the NFL delivers us a final score that has never occurred before, which is what Sunday’s Seahawks victory against the Lions did. It was the first time in NFL history that a game had ever concluded with a score of 48-45.
The Seahawks were enjoying their historic Sunday because the concept of scorigami had become so popular on Twitter.
The Seahawks’ victory was the 2022 season’s opening scorigami. There were a total of six scorigamis during the 2021 season, however as more final scores fall off the all-time list, scorigamis will presumably get harder to come by, thus we might not see as many this season.

Along with the scorigami, the Lions also contributed to history.
